What's the best thing about being a writer?
Expression of voice. I love being able to express my voice in my own tone. No one to say you’re too loud or you’re speaking to softly. Anything I write, has the ability to come out bold and loud or soft and gentle. It’s all up to expression!
How do you deal with writer's block?
Writer’s block, anyone? Yes, we’ve all been there, but all blocks can be broken. Me, I break my blocks mentally by taking breaks. If I feel myself forcing the words, they’re not the right words. If I feel myself digging too deep, I put my shovel down, sometimes for minutes, hours, or days, and I don’t pick it up again until God tells me to. Defeat mental distress.
How did you get inspired to write?
I believe book writing has always been a purposed part of my future. And, owning Keiijuana’s Smile, a non-profit ministry, helped set the foundation. It gave me freedom to help and heal others through expression of voice.
